Department of Preschool and Early School Pedagogy of the University of Zielona Góra in cooperation with the Elementary Education Section of the Pagogical Sciences Committee
The purpose of the conference is to discuss theories and practices, traditions and challenges in the education of preschool and early childhood in Poland and around the world. Modern times, due to the increasing changes in various areas of human life, are a source of dilemmas in the education of children. Problems, being a consequence of civilizational changes facing modern educators, require constant reconstruction of past experiences, looking at different perspectives and contexts and new challenges. The conference, as a meeting of various circles, is an excellent form of social exchange of viewpoints, opportunities and interesting solutions.
The addressees of the conference are representatives of: 1) academic circles (researchers, theoreticians), 2) educational circles (staff training and in-service training of teachers, educators and guardians of children), 3) practitioners, teacher-innovators, 4) directors of educational institutions, 5) creators of schools, kindergartens (and other educational institutions) of original programs and classes, 6) educational politicians, activists of educational associations, representatives of innovative pedagogical movements. In this year's conference, we propose to discuss the issue of inspiring and supporting the development of the child from a historical and current, multicultural perspective, as well as alternative Polish and foreign educational theories and practices, trying to show current trends, directions of change. We also want to show the essence, meaning, significance and place of the child in the theoretical search undertaken, in proposals and solutions. During the two-day session we will reflect on the pedagogy of the child in Poland and abroad. We will critically examine the ongoing changes, reforms, innovations and their social reception.
In order to properly prepare for this debate, a bookmark has been launched on Facebook and on the website of the UZ Department of Pre-school and Early Childhood Pedagogy, which will allow interested parties to observe the program changes, the formation of the agenda and the structure of the deliberations.
